GIVING

Why We Give

Giving is being obedient to God, to be used to further the gospel of Jesus Christ. We want to glorify God with all we give, our lives, talents, tithes, and offerings.

  • Generosity: Paul reminds the Corinthians that those who sow generously will reap generously (2Corinthians 9:6).
  • Willingness to Give: Each person should give what they have decided in their heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion (2Corinthians 9:7).
  • God’s Provision: God is able to bless abundantly, ensuring that believers have all they need for every good work (2Corinthians 9:8).
  • Impact of Giving: The act of giving not only meets the needs of the saints but also results in thanksgiving to God (2Corinthians 9:12).

Matthew 6:21 states, “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
